About

As a person, I know exactly who I am- the good and the bad.

-I am a loving and supportive wife.
-I am an encouraging but strict-ish parent.
-As a social worker, I was empathetic and could see people for who they were, not what they did.
-Nutrition and religion are two of the most important things to me.
-I am sarcastic and impatient. I am a worrier and a planner.
-If you are one of my people, I am loyal to no end (I’m an Enneagram 6).

-I am smart and a quick learner. I am a hard worker and a perfectionist.
-I naturally have a rebel heart. Tell me that I can’t or shouldn’t do something, and consider it done. Tell me I should do something (even if I know it’s good advice), and I won’t do it.

But once I start writing, all the negative voices come out. The pessimistic, fixed mindset that I’ve overcome in every other aspect of my life comes to the forefront.
-English was always my worst subject.
-I don’t know proper grammar.
-Punctuation is even worse. Why do I use so many commas?
-And who am I to lead or guide anyone anyway? What do I know?
-And when I write, does it even make sense? Is my point coming across, or am I just rambling?
-It’s just a waste of time. Nobody cares.

As a coach’s wife, I want to encourage others and offer advice to help their path be less bumpy. My journey has been wild and challenging, so I want to lean down and offer a hand to anyone coming up behind me.

As a woman, I want to help others live fully into who God created them to be, not into who the world says is best. As someone who struggled with worldly distractions for years, I want to help others remove those barriers.

As a believer, I want to help dispel common misconceptions about God, Jesus, and religion that keep most people from fully entering into a relationship with our Heavenly Father. Those misunderstandings kept me away for far too long, so I want to clarify them for others.

Just like me, my website and writings are works in progress. If you give me grace, I’ll give it right back.

It’s a pleasure to meet you.

Love,

Jess
